Your Student Council

What is the Student Council?

Your Student Council is composed of 56 student leaders who collaborate to represent the ideas, interests, and needs of all UL students. By taking part, they have the power to discuss and vote on UL Student Life policy in order to ensure a better student experience across all dimensions of University life. Whether the issue is academic, social or welfare related, or a matter of promoting equality and diversity, the Student Council works for you.

The Student Council meets every second Tuesday at 6 pm – all students are welcome to attend a meeting but only elected members may vote.

As the representative group for all students, the Student Council directs the Student Executive on what work to carry out to ensure that they are working on the issues that matter to you! Council members are #StudentLeaders who influence change right across the campus, from access, facilities, academic delivery, supports, and services.
